Palmyra Studios
State of the Art Vintage Recording Studio,
Film and Video Post-Production Facility
Palmyra Studios, nestled in the countryside 25 miles south of Dallas, was built and designed from the Wadley family’s original 1903 farmhouse. The control room is solid 1”, 100-year-old cedar. The sound and feel of the old wood, coupled with our fully discrete 1969 Abbey Road Class A Neve 8038 console and 2 Studer A800 MKIII 2” tape recorders, give Palmyra Studios an amazingly distinctive sound. Along with what we feel is the finest of vintage analog gear, we have the most up to date HD digital formats for our 5:1 film and scoring projects. Add 65 acres of privacy, and an occasional pooch resting on the surrounding decks, and you have what we feel is one of the most creative environments built for the recording process. For 13 years, we have been called "one of the best kept secrets in Texas".
Palmyra: An ancient city in Syria founded by King Solomon, son of David and Bath-Sheba. Just north of Damascus, it was an arts and cultural mecca. It became a powerful trade center during the days of Marco Polo.
Native American Legend: Palmyra was a place where you never grew old, a place you would never die.
